Si Damian Lazarus n’a rien fait d’autre avec son nouvel album que d’augmenter le statu quo pour sportifs en mal d’album collaboratifs, il a triomphé. Avec panache, ‘Neverending’ est le second single précédant son album « Smoke The Monster Out’, le premier étant le très chaleureusement accueilli par la critique ‘Moment’.

Bien que ‘Neverending’ soit un luxuriant morceau avec une rythmique édifiante et des tons euphoriques, les parties vocales racontent l’histoire d’un cœur brisé qui se doit de tout oublier pour pouvoir aimer de nouveau.

M.A.N.D.Y. fait cette fois ci équipe avec la merveille de Paris Alexkid pour ajouter une touche Techno à ce mix aux accents Minimal Funk. Le tout sonnant réussi grâce aux kick légèrement accentués et aux samples filtrés de la voix de Lazarus.

Le Canadien exilé à New York Brennan Green ajoute son parfum si distinctif au moyens de rythmes façon disco, tout en ajoutant de l’espace et de l’air qui fait sonner ses deux mixs façon Grand Canyon.

Lazarus peut être assuré de laisser sa trace dans le monde de la musique électronique grâce a son ‘Smoke The Monster Out’ ainsi qu’à son EP, fourni avec 3 remixs aux tons variés, dors et déjà une preuve des goûts musicaux éclectiques de Damian.
