Après deux maxis chez Aim et un détour chez Smallville avec un LP plus que plébiscité, l’artiste berlinois Sebastian Genz alias Moomin revient sur l’écurie de Tristen avec un nouvel EP intitulé She Said She Won‘t Be That Long Away. Sur la face A, on trouve Beautiful As You Are, une alliance savoureuse entre deep house subtile et riffs voluptueux de saxos. On change de face avec Don’t Fly If It’s Foggy, morceau par lequel on se laisse volontiers happer dans ces nappes profondes et cette basse rebondissante. La galette se termine sur le titre éponyme : She Said She Won‘t Be That Long Away, et on en vient un poil à regretter que cette mystérieuse inconnue ne rentre pas plus tôt car cette basse répétitive nous donne envie d’entendre ces séduisants rhodes s’épanouir.

After two EPs on Aim and a detour on Smallville with a more than acclaimed LP, the Berlin based Sebastian Genz aka Moomin returns on Tristen’s label with a new EP entitled She Said She Won’t Be That Long Away. On the A side, we find Beautiful As You Are, a flavorous alliance between subtle deep house and voluptuous saxophone riffs. The B side starts with Do Not Fly If It’s Foggy, track by which one willingly allows snap in these deep aquifers and the bouncing bass. The release ends on the title track: She Said She Will not Be That Long Away, and we regret a bit that this mysterious stranger does not come earlier because this repetitive bass makes us want to hear these attractive rhodes flourish.
