Alexis Bernard a.k.a Seuil est innaretable en ce moment, ayant sorti six EP l’année dernière en solo, parmi eux, son formidable premier EP “Double Room” sur Moon Harbour. Cette fois ci, Seuil nous concocte un nouvel excellent triptyque de productions House, rien que pour nous.
Tout commence avec “Musm”, un morceau entrainant avec un rythme finement accentué et souligné par des samples vocaux. Le milieu du morceau voit apparaître une montée façon fanfare de trompettes, affichant la couleur au dancefloor. Le point culminant du morceau, quant à lui, arrive de manière prudente et subtile, gardant l’auditeur sous pression jusqu’à la fin.

Le second morceau, « Unexpected Night » est un morceau progressif commençant de manière très calme, mais le break du morceau amène une nappe mi dissonante mi entrainante, faisant muter le morceau en un monstre doté d’une dynamique implacable.

La cerise sur le gâteau est finalement offerte par “Ohohah”, un morceau au touché plus expérimental, montrant le coté plus fou de Seuil, tout en conservant son style Funky et profond.

Alexis Benard a.k.a Seuil can’t be stopped at the moment, releasing six EPs in the last year alone and amongst them being his stunning debut « Double Room » on Moon Harbour. This time around Seuil dishes up another three top-notch house tracks for us.
It all starts with « Musm », a driving track with a sharply accented rhythm, underlined by a catchy vocal sample. Around the middle of the track the arising fanfare/trumpet horn shows off Seuil’s feel for the dancefloor. When the peak arrives it is a carefully crafted and subtle one, holding the listener till the end.
»Unexpected Night« is a builder, starting relaxed, but during the breakdown a half dissonant, half driving sound emerges giving the track an excellent and unforgettable new dynamic.

« Ohohah » is a touch more experimental. Bourn on an elegant bassline, the style shows a friskier side to Seuil, while still capturing his catchy, deep and funky style.
